About Hotel B
Location: Barranco, Lima, Peru. The Hotel B was built in 1914 as a private residence. This gleaming white house has undergone a 2-year restoration that preserves the original opulence and reflects the glamour of the Belle Époque – with a modern twist in its use of vintage and designer furniture.
It is located in the heart of Barranco, a bohemian-revival neighbourhood filled with historic houses and surrounded by galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and only minutes from the Pacific Ocean. After the lavish conversion, the mansion reopened as an ‘arts-boutique’ hotel, featuring a unique art collection curated by an adjacent renowned gallery. A 3-level contemporary annexe has been added and houses seven of the 17 guestrooms, along with the hotel’s signature restaurant.
Rooms
The Atelier rooms are 34-42 square metres, located on the second floor of the historic mansion and include either a foyer or private terrace overlooking the boulevard. The walk through bathrooms include twin vanity basins, a separate shower and toilet as well as a standalone bathtub and desk. The sitting area has a two seater couch, as well as a table and cocktail table, vintage armoire and cabinet. The Aposento rooms can be either king or twin bed configuration and are a spacious 22-36 spare metres. Situated throughout the historic mansion and the contemporary wing on all floors the rooms overlook either Calle San Martin or the inner Patio. Each room has a walk in bathroom with separate shower and toilet, and some include a stand-alone bathtub. The sitting area includes a couch that seats two, a chair, table, vintage armoire and cabinet. The Alcoba rooms have a queen bed and are 19-22 square metres located on either the first floor of the historic mansion or the second and third floor of the contemporary wing overlooking the Spanish Diplomatic Residence on Calle San Martin. The bathrrom includes a shower, and toilet and there is a sink in the main room. The sitting area has a one seater sofa, desk with chair, vintage armoire and cabinet.
