Yurt Deluxe
Relax in your deluxe Yurt with double or twin beds, your own private en-suite with a bath and rain shower, amenities and a hair dryer. Relax out on your person balcony or read a book at the yurts desk. The best part of all, fall asleep at night looking up at the window in the centre of your tent at the beautiful Patagonian stars.
Yurt Suite
There’s plenty of room to relax in your suite with a separate bedroom and lounge. The bedroom has either a double or twin bed which attaches to your separate lounge room with a Nespresso machine and snack basket. Your en-suite bathroom has a bath and rain shower, amenities and a hair dryer. Watch the sunset whilst relaxing in your outdoor jacuzzi on your private terrace. The suite also has the signature window in the centre of the rooms so you can star gaze from your bed.
Family Yurt
Big enough to accommodate your family or group of friends, the Family Yurt features two bedrooms, one with a double or twin beds and the other with upto three single beds. Your en-suite bathroom has a bath and rain shower, amenities and a hair dryer. Your group can relax at night in the outdoor jacuzzi on the yurt’s private terrace. Once you’ve finished in the jacuzzi, hop into bed and watch the night sky dance in front of your eyes.

PENINSULA DEL TORO TREK:
Leaving Patagonia Camp, travel to El Bote bay which is approximately 40 minutes by car. The peninsula is another of the camps private walks. The trail runs between lakes and lagoons, between areas of cattle grazing and deciduous forest, with sudden views of Paine massif and full of pioneering history. An incredible place for bird watching and a place to truly connect with nature. After 5 hrs of walking arrive back to the Camp without transfer of vehicle.
STAND UP PADDLE IN BONITA LAGOON OR TORO LAKE:
Get up stand up! Patagonia Camp is the first hotel in Torres del Paine that offers this entertaining activity. Stand Up Paddle or SUP has its origins in ancestral cultures from Africa to South America, where Aborigines used boards and canoes, using long sticks to fish and transport. The modern SUP combines movement and surfing balance with paddling techniques in a unique blend of fun and sport. If you have no experience, you will receive instructions from the team of guides in the calm waters of the lagoon Bonita; Prepare to have an entertaining and unforgettable experience, take the challenge!
CLAUDIO LAGOON + ESCONDIDA LAGOON:
On this trek, travel 20 minutes from the hotel to the Grey lookout sector, from where you will start your trek to the Claudio Lagoon sector. Later you will reach the Escondida Lagoon and move towards the Serrano Valley sector, walking through areas of Magellan Forest with the view of the snowdrifts in the distance and beautiful views of the Torres del Paine Massif.
KAYAK IN TORO LAKE OR BONITA LAGOON:
This experience is another treasure that Patagonia Camp has for you! The team of guides will give you an introductory course with basic rowing techniques and safety instructions. After being prepared with all necessary equipment, go to the shores of Lake Toro, the largest of the region with its pure waters and tonalities that vary between deep blue and intense turquoise. Paddle along the bays and around islets accompanied by the extraordinary view of the Patagonian landscape, not to be missed!
LOS AZULES VIEWPOINT (SELF-GUIDED ACTIVITY):
There are many special places to discover around the facilities. Bonita Lagoon is ideal to admire and feel the rhythms of nature. You can venture into an unexplored area, excellent for contemplation and relaxation. You will have the possibility of walking on a gentle path with little unevenness. All the way you will be accompanied by coigüe forests and birds of the region, conjugated with the view of the Paine massif, the Tenerife hill and the varied blue colors of Porteño Lake, Toro Lake and Bonita and Maravilla Lagoons.
TRES LAGUNAS TRAIL:
The W Circuit is without a doubt one of the park’s most iconic routes. Please keep in mind that this a physically demanding hike, that will cover approximately 20kms in 8 hours. Begin in a catamaran that will cross Lake Pehoe, at the foothills of the Paine Grande. From here, a 7.5km hike up to the Italian campsite, and from their another 230 metres ascending through the valley between forests and the glacier. The views of the valley, the glacier and the pampas behind you will leave you speechless.
TORO WATERFALL HIKE:
A few meters from the Camp and inside the facilities, you can enjoy a beautiful and solitary place. The trail starts at only 500 meters from the camp, bordering the immense Lake Toro, which in all its splendor will show blue and turquoise reflections and shines that change every minute according to the light. After walking for approximately 40 minutes, you will reach the Toro waterfall, surrounded by native forest where a variety of birds perched to observe the passing hikers, an ideal place for birdwatchers! When visiting this secret place, you can take beautiful photographs from another perspective of the Paine massif, Los Cuernos, the mountain range and the Lake of the Toro. In short, this walk gives you the opportunity to visit an intimate place and share in one of the romantic landscapes, which only Patagonia Camp can offer you.
FISHING “CATCH & RELEASE” ON THE SHORE OF LAKE TORO (SELF-GUIDED ACTIVITY):
Patagonia Camp is located on the shores of Lake Toro, one of the most extensive in the Region of Magallanes with around 202 km2. Thanks to its irregular geography it has numerous islands, bays and river mouths, making it a must-see destination for fishing lovers! In this area, it is possible to find brown and rainbow trout and the fish can weigh between 1 and 8 kilos. The fishing that is done is off-shore and in “eco-friendly” manner of catch and release as to not to interrupt the natural cycle of the trout as they swim up the Serrano river. You will enjoy this relaxing sport in the vicinity and comfort of your Yurt.
BASE TORRES VIEWPOINT TREK:
This demanding hike is worthy of its famous reputation. After crossing the Ascencio river, you will hike approximately 2.5km in a continuous ascent reaching 480 metres above sea level, where you will have a panoramic view of the pampa, the lakes to the south and the valley itself. From there the trail will descend to the El Chileno camp. The vegetation here corresponds from the Pre-Andean Matorral and will then change quickly to an old-growth forest of Lenga trees where it will ascend again to the Torres Glacier. You will then leave the forest with one final ascent of approximately 45 minutes. The trail will take you to the base of Las Torres and the 3 granite giants will be standing right in front of you. Along the way you may encounter some of the local wildlife like condors, black eagles and the Carancho.
CERRO CASTILLO TREK:
Located 40 minutes from Patagonia Camp, Cerro Castillo is one of the more iconic and recognizable mountains that you’ll find within Torres del Paine National Park. Begin this fun and challenging hike by ascending continuously through Nires forests and up to the peak of the central mountain where you’ll have views of Lago Perteno and Lago Toro, the entire range of Torres del Paine, along with Sierra Baguales, the Chinas river, Cerro Tenerife and Glacier Gray off in the distance.
GLACIAR GREY VIEWPOINT TREK:
This is another physically demanding hike for those sport-loving guests as it will cover a lot of ground in the time allocated for the hike. Another section of the famous W circuit, which begins by crossing lake Pehoe by catamaran to the foothills of the Paine Grande where you’ll begin your hike towards the Gray Gazebo, crossing the mountain with an incredible view of the hanging glaciers in the distance, Gray Lake and crossing incredible Coigue, Nirre, and Notro forests and ending with a breathtaking view of the Glacier Gray blue ice walls in the distance.

PINGO CASCADE TREK:
In this excursion, walk to get to the grey nursery, where you will enter the pingo valley, one of the last places of pristine beauty and almost without intervention in the National Park. From here, walk to the sector of pingo cascade, to appreciate the wonders of this valley that is restricted to tourists and offers the possibility to see how wild the nature of Torres del Paine was before the establishment of several estancias.
FERRIER VIEWPOINT TREK + GREY BEACH TREK:
With this walk you will discover three totally different environments. Begining in the Grey Nursery crossing an old growth Lenga forest, throughout this section it will be possible to observe forest birds such as the Magellanic woodpecker and the cachaña. Then you will continue along the beach of Lake Grey, where you can admire the beauty of the ice floes that come off the glacier, with intense blue tones and dazzling shapes. And finally, when you arrive at the peninsula you will have a spectacular view of the Grey Glacier and its surroundings, certainly a festival of colors that will awaken your senses!
Without a doubt one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Park, where you can enjoy a panoramic view that includes the Pingo Glacier and Lake Pingo, Grey Glacier and Grey Lake, Paine Massif, all the lakes within the Park, the Sierra Baguales and even Argentina. The adventure begins in the sector of Grey and after walking 800 metres begin your constant ascent from 100 metres to 700 metres in only 2.2 km. It is a demanding path but, without a doubt, it fills the spirit and expands both the horizon and your point of view.
VALLE DEL FRANCES TREK:
The W Circuit is without a doubt one of the park’s most iconic routes. Please keep in mind that this a physically demanding hike, that will cover approximately 20kms in 8 hours. You will begin in a catamaran that will cross Lake Pehoe, at the foothills of the Paine Grande. LOS CUERNOS TREK:
This is another great hike along the famouns W Circuit in the park. The hike begins in Las Torres section of the park and follows the trail around the Mount Almirante Nieto and through the banks of the Nordenskjold lakes, through pasture and deciduous forests and as you approach the amazing Cuernos del Paine, you’ll see the picture-perfect differentiation of the colors of the massif. Once you arrive to this lookout point, along the edges of the East Horn, you’ll have amazing views of the East Horn, the lake and its surroundings. You will the return back along the same trail arriving back to Patagonia Camp around 20:00 approximately.
SARMIENTO CHICO- ESTANCIA LAZO:
Walk along the shores of Sarmiento Lake with views of the calcium carbonates that cover the lake shore and bordering Verde Lagoon, with a subsequent hike through the valleys to later cross the Magellanic forest reaching the estancia Lazo.
BENITEZ HILL:
In this Trekking, you will begin visiting the Milodón Cave Monument and particularly the Small Cave, an old burrow of Magellanic panthers at the end of the glacial era. From here, begin the ascent to the top of Benítez Hill and then surround it by the back to appreciate the beautiful Sofía Lagoon. Later you will begin to descend again to the cave of the Milodón not without first visiting the cave paintings located in this area, to finish at the entrance of the natural monument. You will be able to see Rotundo, Prat and Tenerife Hills, besides the cave paintings left by the native Tehuelches.

LOS CUERNOS VIEWPOINT + CÓNDOR VIEWPOINT HIKE:
Starting from the well-known and famous Salto Grande, an impressive waterfall that connects two lakes, walk along a path of panoramic delight as you approach the mythical Cuernos del Paine to finish enjoying them from so close. You can feel as though you are inside the mountain, without having to walk long distances or on difficult trails. With a unique panoramic view and the possibility of experiencing the wind tunnel, the condor gazebo is a must. Starting the trek from camping Pehoé, climb steadily to the outcrop of the viewpoint. In the ascent, little by little you will be able to enjoy the panoramas that the altitude offers you. During the trip there’s a high probability of seeing condors and eagles in the sector.
CÓNDORES CLIFF & TROMBOLITOS:
Start off by traveling 2 hours to the Estancia Cerro Guido, with over 100,00 hectares where you can experience the incredible Patagonian winds that even the very first pioneers felt as they arrived in a then-unhospitable place. The panoramic views of the cliff is an incredible sight and hopefully you’ll be able to spot a few native Condors flying overhead. The descent of the cliff will be the most demanding part of the day but it is only 20 minutes. You will then have your lunch somewhere in the vast pampas section and finally end the day on the shores of Lake Sarmiento to enjoy a geological conversation about the areas Trombolitos.
HIKE LAZO WEBBER:
Located in the eastern section of the park, begin your hike near the Laguna Verde area and wind your way up through the tranquil Coique and Lenga forests towards the Paine Massif. You will hike up through the valleys and canyons where you’ll see ducks, frogs, woodpeckers, condors, and possibly local species like jargon and cachana. You’ll then reach the Onda lagoon where you’ll be able to look over the Calafate lake, the Baguales mountain range, the Contreras mountains and of course the ever-imposing Cuernos del Paine. From here you will cross over towards the western section of the park where you will have lunch, after your meal continue on through the Ciervos lagoon and reach the Toro lookout at 559 metres where you’ll have an incredible view of Lake Toro, the Paine river, Serrano Valley, Mount Balmaceda, the Geike and Tyndall glaciers and the southern Patagonian ice field.
MYLODON CAVE:
Through this hike, you will visit the cave complex inside the monument, where you will appreciate historical representations of the animals that lived during the final period of the glacial era, as well as the history of the first inhabitants of the zone of last hope. Also, a visit to the imposing cave of Mylodon is considered where the fossil remains of Mylodon and other prehistoric animals were found.
SCENIC FULL DAY PAINE & FAUNA TRAIL:
Leaving the Camp travel inside the park enjoying and stopping in several viewpoints that are on the way to the beginning of the walk. This excursion is carried out by the East side of the Park in the most populated sector by one of the South American camelids: the guanaco, and by the greater number of mammals within the province. Also visit a conglomerate eaves where there are some 6,000-year-old cave paintings made by Paleo-Tehuelches, an interesting place where you will converse about human history and pioneers of the region. An educational and entertaining walk, full of sightings and wildlife. After your walk, go to the Paine waterfall and to the Azul lagoon, where you will have a unique view and from a different perspective of the Torres del Paine.
GREY BEACH + TORO LAKE VIEWPOINT HIKE:

FULL DAY PHOTO SAFARI:
This excursion is aimed at adults or young people who do not want to walk long distances in the national park but they want to travel to find the best postcards of this incredible park. In this excursion, walk the paths of the national park in search of the local fauna and the most iconic landscapes, in a low difficulty excursion where the walks will be very short to approach the most photogenic vantage points.
KAYAK GREY BEACH & RIVER DOWN:
This adventure begins in the waters of Lake Grey where your guide will perform a safety talk, introduction to kayak handling and details of the route and weather. The trip across the Lake will last 1.5 hrs and will be realized in the southern area of the lake, where you will have the opportunity to row next to these floating icebergs that have been sculpted by the wind and sun, taking incredible shapes and colors. During the trip, you will have a privileged view of the majesty of the Paine Massif. After paddling at Lake Grey, you will begin the descent of the Gray River, which has very entertaining sections of rapids that are created due to their capricious rock formations of a very particular beauty. You will stop in a privileged place on the banks of the River with an incredible view of the Massif to enjoy a rich lunch. Paddle alongside the Paine Massif during the 25 km long journey until joining with the waters of the Serrano River. The trip ends in Pueblito Serrano after 3 – 4 hours of paddling.

ZODIAC ROUND TRIP IN SERRANO RIVER:
This adventure begins with a 20-minute journey by car from the Camp to Puerto Chaitén. There, you will be equipped with a special suit for the trip and you will start your journey up the Serrano River to Bernardo O’Higgins National Park. Along the way you will enjoy magnificent views of the mountain. In Puerto Toro, disembark from the zodiac to make a short walk to the viewpoint of the Serrano glacier, next to the glacier is the lagoon full of floating ice floes, a postcard not to be missed! Then embark again on the zodiac back to Puerto Chaitén. There is the option of having a typical barbecue in a quincho of the area.

HORSEBACK RIDING THROUGH THE PAMPA:
Leaving the Serrano River area from the stables of the Rogel family, ride along the course of the river Serrano, natural drainage of the waters of Torres del Paine National Park, then follow the riverbed Otters, a tributary of the Serrano River. After 45 minutes of horseback riding, enter a forest of Ñirres and Calafates, cross marshy areas and finally ascend a few meters to a viewpoint of the Paine Massif to finish your cavalcade in the stables of the Rogel family where a driver of the Camp awaits to bring you back to the hotel.The ride takes approximately 3 hours.

KAYAK GREY GLACIER:
This exciting experience starts from the Grey sector, where after crossing the lake for approximately 1 hour via the Grey III boat, you will arrive at the refuge area, where a specialized guide will give you your technical equipment and give you a safety talk and paddling instruction. You can row between floes that are floating and you will be able to marvel at its intense blue color from very close, a truly unique adventure! All this with the majestic view of the wall of the centenary glacier! After 2.5 hours of paddling, return to the refuge to wait for the boat that will take them back to where the driver will be waiting to take them you to the Camp.

FLY FISHING IN LAKE TORO:
On shores of Lake Toro and some nearby rivers, you will have the opportunity to fish in these bodies of water that thanks to its irregular geography, the province of Ultima Esperanza offers us a great variety of places for fly fishing as the bays and mouths of these rivers, making it a must-see destination for fishing enthusiasts. In this area, you can find beautiful species of rainbow and brown trout and fish can weigh between 1 and 5 kilos. The activity is developed respecting the norms established by SERNAPESCA not to interrupt the natural cycle of the trout in its journey up stream in the Serrano river and thus, to protect the those waters from any pathogens that can damage the environment and the ecosystem of the fish.

GREY LAKE NAVIGATION:
After a 20-minute walk along the path through Lenga forests you’ll arrive at the local dock. The Lake Grey boat excursion is undoubtedly one of the most captivating experiences in Torres del Paine. The boat tour will allow you to appreciate the combination of the unique landscape among vegetation, mountains and icebergs. You will see from close up the gigantic centuries-old glacier walls with a range of blue tones that you can’t help but admire!

Weather in Patagonia
If you are considering venturing into the remote wilderness of Patagonia but you are unsure of when to go, this quick guide will give you an insight into what each season offers.
Autumn (March – May)
The temperature drops (average high 17ᴼC / low 3ᴼC) but so do the number of visitors. The autumn leaves and their beautiful colours make Patagonia in autumn a delight for photographers and hikers alike. The contrasting colours light up the landscape as the mountains soar above. A pleasant surprise when visiting during this season is that the winds drop-back again making the temperature quite pleasant for hiking and other outdoor activities.
Winter (June – August)
Most of the hiking trails and main attractions are closed in winter so you may wish to avoid visiting during this time. However for photographers winter presents an opportunity for incredible images. The mountains and glaciers are covered in snow and the National Parks are often considered their most picturesque during this time. It is extremely cold (average high 15ᴼC / low 0ᴼC) so you will need to ensure you have the right clothing to keep you warm, the wind also adds an additional chill factor. The days are short with between 8 & 9 hours of daylight – plenty of time to enjoy the warmth and hospitality of the many excellent lodges.
Spring (September – November).
The temperature is cool (average high 17ᴼC / low 3ᴼC) but if you desire a more private experience and are prepared with suitable gear you will find springtime exceptional. You will be spoilt with colourful spring bloom and a greater possibility of spotting some of the more timid animals due to fewer visitors. The winds are often not as strong as they can be during other seasons and accommodation is priced to reflect the ‘shoulder’ season.
Summer (December – February).
Summer is the peak season when Patagonia has the highest number of visitors. Summer offers the warmest weather (average high 22ᴼC / low 5ᴼC) and long days (17 hours of daylight), it is a great time to get outdoors and enjoy the wilderness as well as the spectacular views. However as this is aptly called the ‘peak’ season you will find that you will be sharing the parks with many other visitors and be subject to peak season accommodation prices. Another element worth noting is that the wind is particularly strong during the summer months and can reach up to 120 kilometres per hour.
When planning your trip you can use this as a guide but please be aware that the weather fluctuates greatly from day to day so you may experience snow, rain, sleet, sun any day during any season and sometimes all in one day.
