Location: Cafayate, Salta Province, Argentina. Patios de Cafayate Wine Hotel is a beautifully renovated winery hotel in the small town of Cafayate, 190km south of the provincial capital of Salta. To stay in this lovely hacienda, located among the vineyards of the El Esteco Winery in the Calchaquíes Valley, is to experience gracious living and old-world Spanish hospitality. It has 32 elegant rooms and suites with superb views of the vineyards and surrounding mountains. Built in 1892, with a labyrinthine interior of gardens and courtyards, the hotel was completely restored and rooms adapted to modern needs, while retaining the colonial furnishings, artwork, ceramic floors and handcrafted carpets. The highlight of your stay may be dining in the gourmet restaurant with a glass of wine produced at the bodega next door, or perhaps one of the special treatments at the hotel’s Wine Spa. From the Patios de Cafayate it’s just a short distance into Cafayate town which has a lovely plaza, many fine restaurants, a museum and several wineries which can be visited.

For other ingredients used at the hotel are sourced locally from neighbouring farms or local growers to support the local community and ensure freshness and excellent quality.

Horse Riding
The Peruvian or local saddle horses are a tradition in the valleys, and the most requested circuits are the circuits in El Esteco vinayeard and riding to San Isidro hill, to Yacochuya or to the Divisadero. These horse riding tours can be organised at the hotel for an additional cost.

Estancias de Cafayate, a wonderful private venture at just 3 kilometers from the Wine Hotel, is opened exclusively for Patios de Cafayate guests.
