MV Clipper Premium:

Enjoy the comfort of the MV Clipper Premium during your Amazon Cruise. The MV Clipper Premium has 16 spacious cabins, twin share or queen with private bathrooms and hot shower. Each room has air conditioning and a safe. Enjoy nutritious meals in the restaurant and a recreational area for outdoor sightseeing that is shaded and has plenty of seating and a Jacuzzi. There is a large air conditioned room for briefings and lectures as well as a sundeck with 360°views.

Day 1 Embarkation on Amazon Cruise Brazil in Manaus

Overview:

You will be met by a representative in the lobby of Tropical Hotel, Manaus at 2pm who will escort you to the river boat the MV Clipper Premium. Head towards the Amazon River while you have a safety briefing and meet your crew and guides. Enjoy a presentation about Amazon conservation and ecology. After dinner explore the Amazon River’s edge with searchlights, looking for caiman, night-hawks, snakes, toro-rats, sloths and frogs.

Day 2 Janauaca Lake

This morning you will find yourself cruising along Janauaca Lake. Here you will embark on the canoes early and explore the forest by foot. Keep our eyes peeled for birds and Pink River Dolphins. Return to the Clipper for breakfast, followed by a walk in the forest and a visit to visit a local community who live from manioc plantations, fishing, diverse fruit trees, rubber, Brazil-nut trees, wood and other extractive products. In the afternoon enjoy piranha fishing and you will probably see Hoatzins and large flocks of egrets. After dinner explore the forest in canoes with the hope of viewing nocturnal animals and admiring at the millions of stars and constellations of the southern hemisphere.

Day 3 Amazon River Cruise Concludes

Awake early to explore the Janauary Ecological Park. Here you will find many birds and the Victoria Regia (giant water lilies). Explore the flooded forest by canoes or cat-walks. During breakfast the ship will sail to the meeting of the waters. This is where the colored water of the Amazon and the dark water of the Negro River flows side by side without mixing for many miles. In the late morning return to Manaus Port where you will disembark.
