Day 1 San Jose
Overview:
Arrive at San Jose Airport and transfer to hotel. San Jose is Costa Rica’s capital, a bustling town of one million people, with a pleasant mix of traditional Spanish and modern buildings.

Day 2-4 Tortuguero National Park
Overview:
Drive through the magnificent Braulio Carillio National Park to the Tortuguero Canals. Board a small boat and explore the lagoons where it’s possible to see Spider Monkeys, Howler Monkeys and White-faced Capuchin as well as sloths. Spend the night at a boutique lodge.
Enjoy excursions by boat with your Tortuguero guide and explore the lagoons and natural waterways of Tortuguero National Park.

Day 5-7 Arenal
Overview:
Enjoy a scenic boat and road transfer back to the town of Guapiles. Continue to your hotel in the Arenal area. Arenal volcano is a perfect symmetrical shape making it a photographer’s dream. Take a day hike to the Arenal Hanging Bridges, a complex of suspended bridges and trails that run through a beautiful rainforest. Enjoy an evening dip at the thermal mineral pools and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Today take a scenic lake crossing transfer by boat and car to Monteverde. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most diverse and rich tropical cloud forests in the New World and home to the resplendent Quetzal. The town also has a small community of Quakers who live in the little village of Santa Elena. Enjoy an afternoon adventure at the Sky Trek Zipline & Tram tour. This is a system of seven platforms suspended above the ground in the midst of tree boughs.

Visit Caño Island, well known for its abundance of marine life and impressive snorkelling.
