ABOUT BELMOND HOTEL DAS CATARATAS

Belmond Hotel das Cataratas is a graceful Portuguese-colonial residence, set in lush tropical gardens. It is the only hotel inside Brazil’s Iguassu National Park and just a short stroll from the sensational falls – giving guests exclusive access when the park is closed to other visitors. The elegant property has a classic décor that beautifully reflects its colonial era, with polished hardwood floors, traditional blue-tiled bathrooms, dark-wood furnishings and colourful accents.
Guestrooms are distributed across three buildings – the Garden and Forest Wings and the main building that also houses the lobby, lounges, main bar and fine-dining restaurant. The expansive grounds include tennis courts and a beautiful swimming pool bordered by palm trees. The hotel has 177 rooms and 16 suites.

Located Inside The Park
As Belmond Das Cataratas is located within the Iguassu Park you’ll have unrivalled access to the breathtaking Iguassu Falls and its surrounding parkland. Whilst all other visitors must adhere to the 9-5 opening hours, Belmond’s location inside the park gives guests up to six additional hours of freedom to explore.
Avoid The Crowds
Due to the location, guests at Belmond Das Cataratas enjoy the park before and after the park closes for the general public. Enjoy exploring the trails with only the sound of your footsteps and wildlife in the trees. Photographers will delight in sunrise and sunset photography of the falls in near solitude.
Rooms
The deluxe rooms have a Queen bed or twin beds, a spacious bathroom with luxury toiletries, mini bar, widescreen TV and DVD player, and dark-wood furnishings.
The Deluxe Falls View Rooms have all the amenities of the Deluxe room but offer spectacular views over the falls.
Located in the Forest Wing the Superior rooms offer stunning garden views. Each room has paintings of local flora and fauna by Brazilian artist Ludmilla de Montes adn traditional painted tiles. The room has Queen or twin bed configuration, a bathroom with luxury toiletries, widescreen TV and DVD player.
The Junior Suites have a Queen bed, spacious marble bathroom with luxury toiletries, a living room with desk, widescreen TV with DVD player and is decorated in Portuguese- colonial style.
The Cataratas Suites have a King bed, spacious marble bathroom, luxury toiletries, a separate living room, widescreen TV and DVD player, and are decorated in Portuguese-colonial style. The suite has 4 beautiful balconies. A second room can be connected to make it a two bedroom retreat which is perfect for families.
