The village of El Chaltén is located at the foothills of Mount Fitz Roy –also known as El Chaltén– within the Los Glaciares National Park in the Argentinean Patagonia. Set on an ancient glacial watershed and located within the Park, El Chaltén is surrounded by mountains, lakes, and forests, and watched over by the Viedma glacier and the granite needles of the Torre and Fitz Roy mountains. With views to the Electric Valley and the Marconi Glacier, explora El Chaltén will open its doors in September 2020. 17 km away from El Chaltén –in the Argentinean Patagonia– the lodge is a headquarter from where to explore a world-renowned destination by those who love nature and trekking.
Based on the ancient estancias built by colonizers to the area, the explora El Chaltén architecture perfectly matches its pristine location. Hotel facilities include spa, sauna, jacuzzi, restaurant, and bar.

Reserva Los Huemules
Great hiking on trails to the Condor Lagoon, Blue Lagoon, Electric Valley, Devil’s Lagoon, Loma del Diablo, Marconi Glacier Valley. Different explorations overlooking the Fitz Roy, with an easy and difficult level of difficulty. Self-guided bicycle to the town of El Chaltén.
Rock climbing school (easy, moderate and advanced) near the hotel (10 min approx.)
Los Glaciares National Park.
Hike to the Mirador de los Condores, Mirador de las Águilas, Mirador Fitz Roy, Mirador Cerro Torre, Valle del Fitz Roy, Mirador Glacier Piedras Blancas, Laguna Torre, Plea Tumbao, Laguna de los Tres, Los Valles, Cerro Madsen.
